CC Ramone![]() Salvador is a short statured bull. Line bred on Australia's 38" to 39" height bloodlines. Very wide and deep framed. And correct. Blossom is very long bodied as well as wide. She is a wonderful cow and dam of my senior bull Black Jack. There is more to Genestar scores than the number of stars. Some markers make a more significant impact than others. Please note Ramone's GPD scores. His Quality Grade is significantly impressive. A positive number here indicates the tendency to "marble" rather than lay on back fat, which equates to higher carcass grade. His genetics for Feed Efficiency is outstanding! FE is very important with feed costs rising daily. This GPD is expressed in less pounds of feed needed per day compared to an animal without the marker. Remember these are heritable traits. Very important in a herd sire! Follow the Genestar link on the sidebar for a more thorough explanation. Remember, the genetic marker testing is only one of many livestock selection tools. ![]()
