Here in the beautiful Pacific Nothwest,
grass is usually lush and green due to the abundant rainfall. This is traditionally
an agricultural area. Things grow very well! But..due to the beauty of this area,
land is becoming increasingly expensive and scarce. We are forced to do more with less. I am a "farm kid" who has never lost my love of the land and the creatures in my care. My family has worked the land for several generations. It is part of me. My mission is to demonstrate that a person can enjoy the satisfaction of a life close to the earth on a very small acreage, without sacrificing the conveniences of modern life. More folks are searching for a way of life reminiscent of the "olden days" without much of the hardship associated with the era. Let's face it, we do enjoy things like: running water, hot showers, warm homes, vacations, etc.. I have 3 wonderful, grown kids. They are "homegrown" and living proof of what a mini-farm can produce. The connectedness that comes with growing and harvesting your own food as a family is a wonderful thing. There is much comfort in growing
you own food in this world of contaminents and disease outbreaks. I now live in a small loft with views of my pastures and paddocks. Smaller is better and less really can be more. Yes, you can do it too with Lowline Angus! Lowline Angus, beef for a small planet. More steaks, less trouble per acre. And they are almost as cute as my kids. |
